The two teams atop the MAAA softball standings in the early part of the season face off Monday as the Central Rebels host the Potosi Trojans on KREI. The Trojans enter the contest at 5-0 while also sporting a 2-0 conference record. They have scored 64 runs on the season and have only given up 2 for a devastingly good run differential of 62.

Potosi head coach Tyler Beers says it’s as simple as doing two things at an exceptional level.

Central enters with a 4-3 record and a 2-0 mark in the MAAA.
They lost to a couple of tough teams in Belleville West and Triad over the weekend, but head coach Bryan Wallen thinks those encounters should prepare them well for the Trojans.

Coverage begins with the Fliegs Equipment Pregame Show at 4:15 on AM 800 KREI with first pitch scheduled for 4:30.
