MAAA Softball Tournament Semis and Championship On KREI

(Park Hills) We’ll broadcast  the MAAA Softball Tournament semifinals and championship game from the Park Hills Sports Complex Tuesday on AM 800 KREI. In the first game, the top seed 11-5 Valle Catholic Warriors will face the 5-seed 5-7 West County Bulldogs. The Warriors defeated Kingston 20-5 tonight. Head Coach Kurt Basler says his team is extremely versatile at the plate.

The West County Bulldogs pulled off the upset against 4-seed Ste. Genevieve tonight 13-2. The last time Valle and West County met was April 4th and Valle won that game 8-2.

In the second game of the day, it’s a rematch between the 9-3 Potosi Trojans and the 8-5 Central Rebels. Potosi defeated Central on April 4th, 4-1, thanks in part to the performance of ace Sami Huck. Huck threw seven innings, had 18 strikeouts, and only gave up two hits. Rebels Head Coach Taylor Geile says her girls need to be aggressive at the plate against the Mizzou signee.

The Trojans have won four of their last five and Head Coach Mariah Coleman knows they have a target on their back, especially against Central.

The MAAA Softball Tournament Semifinals get underway at 3:45 Tuesday with the Fliegs Equipment Pregame Show. Then after the semis the winners and losers play in the championship and third place games. We’ll broadcast the championship.  You can listen to the action on AM 800 KREI or streaming online at MyMoInfo.com
