MAAA Special Olympics Returning In 2021

(Leadwood) There’s good news to report today concerning the MAAA Special Olympics that was canceled last year because of COVID-19. Sheri Price is the director of special education for the West County School District. She says they’re excited about getting the go-ahead to start preparing for the event in the spring.

That’s not the only special event scheduled to make a return this year. Price says they hope to be able to hold their special prom.

The Special Olympics will be held at North County High School in Bonne Terre. You can call any St. Francois County High School if you’d like to volunteer to help.
