MAC at Three Rivers on KREI

(Poplar Bluff) The Mineral Area College basketball teams head down highway 67 to Poplar Bluff Saturday night for a battle with the Three Rivers Raiders. The MAC men are unbeaten at 14-0 and ranked 3rd in the NJCAA. The Cardinals knocked off Three Rivers at home 81-68. Both teams have missed games this week. MAC did not play West Plains on Wednesday out of caution, because a couple of student athletes showed symptoms of sickness. The 8-7 Raiders were forced to forfeit two games this week after a postgame fight with Moberly. MAC coach Luke Strege says his team will do its best to protect its lead in the Region 16 standings, especially with higher seeds hosting Region 16 tournament games…

On the women’s side it’s the Raiders that are undefeated at 12-0 and ranked 12th in the nation. A road win for the Cardinals would be just what MAC needs to get its season back on track. Cardinals coach Briley Palmer grew up appreciating the rivalry…
