MAC Awards Area Wordsmiths
(Park Hills) The Mineral Area College English Department handed out awards to several area students at the conclusion of its annual Word Fest writing competition. 9th to 12th grade students from seven local high schools submitted entries in three categories: poetry, short story, and personal essay. Each winner received two books as a prize. Winners in 11th grade also received a $250 Mineral Area College scholarship.
