MAC Board Discusses Redistricting

(Park Hills) The Mineral Area College Board of Trustees got an update on COVID-19 and the mask mandate at the college during it’s meeting Thursday on the Park Hills campus. College President Joe Gilgour says the mandate will remain in effort for the foreseeable future.

Gilgour says they have minimal cases of COVID confirmed among both students and faculty. The board also approved candidates to serve on a redistricting committee for the college.

Kasey Beaton, David Shaw, Lee Thurmand, Candy Hente, Heather Garner, Alan Williams and Pam Ruffin have all been nominated. The college is now waiting to hear back from the state. In other business from the MAC board meeting, the board voted to go with Brockmiller Construction for the renovation of the Pediatric SIM Lab. The board also voted to go with Marsh & McLennan Agency in Chesterfield for insurance broker services.
