MAC Board Met Thursday In Park Hills

(Park Hills) The Mineral Area College Board of Trustees met Thursday in Park Hills. It marked the first time the board met in person at the college for a meeting since the pandemic began. College President Doctor Joe Gilgour says the next big step is to welcome the students back on campus.

The board also presented the Champion of Excellence Award to Financial Aid and Admissions Director Denise Sebastian. Considering her tenure at the college, Doctor Gilgour says this could also double as a lifetime achievement award.

Also at Thursday’s meeting, the MAC Board set the tax rate for the next fiscal year for 46 cents. An agreement with Missouri Baptist University was approved and it was announced that enrollment for the fall semester was down by only nine percent.
