MAC Celebrates Men Cross County National Championship
(Park Hills) Mineral Area College supporters all gathered Monday afternoon in the Hall of Fame room on the Park Hills campus to celebrate the national championship of the men’s cross country team. The Cardinals finished with three individual All-Americans. Donovan Denslow from Clopton finished 3rd, Wyatt Elliot from East Carter 4th, and Jacob Arnold of Herculaneum 9th. Sam Toppins of Fredericktown finished 22nd and Dylan Cisne from Poplar Bluff finished 27th to round out the team scores. Then Alex Ahrens from Windsor finished 45th, and Bryce Mings from Ava 77th.

The MAC cross country team won NJCAA Division Three national title despite this being only the second year of the Cardinal program. Two MAC women finished in the top 30 of 121 runners. Hailey Cortex from St. Paul Lutheran High School in Farmington finished 18th and Nani Brewington of East Carter finished 30th.
