The Mineral Area College baseball team swept all four games from State Fair Sunday and Monday. Monday MAC won the first game 4-2 and took the second 7-4. Matt McGilray threw five innings for the win. He gave up three hits, only one earned run, struck our four and walked only one. In game two MAC broke open a 1-1 tie with five in the fifth. Hicks and Feuerstake hit back to back homers in the inning, the 10th for Hicks and the 7th for Feuerstake which puts them 2nd and 4th in the country. Assistant coach Jordan Thompson says he’ll put that duo up against anyone in the country.

MAC improves to 13-2 on the year and 4-2 against Region 16 teams. The Cardinals host Crowley’s Ridge Tuesday. We’ll have the game on AM 800 KREI and mymoinfo.com starting with the Fliegs Equipment Pregame show at 1:45.
