MAC Hoops Closes Regular Season vs State Fair

(Park Hills) The Mineral Area College basketball teams wrap up the regular season and celebrate homecoming Saturday at home against State Fair. The 20-7 Cardinal women have already clinched the #2 seed in the postseason tournament. They look for the regular season sweep of the 7-16 Roadrunners, but they’ll have to do it without two starters. On the men’s side the Cardinals know they will play the four seed versus five seed game to start the Region 16 tournament. If they win they’ll host State Fair on Tuesday, but if they lose they’ll have to travel to Three Rivers to start the postseason. The 21-8 Cardinals played one of their best games of the year beating State Fair on the road by 15 earlier this season, but coach Luke Strege says the Roadrunners aren’t the same team they were in January…
