MAC Hoops Wrap Regular Season at State Fair

(Park Hills) The Mineral Area College basketball teams go to State Fair Saturday for their final regular season games. The MAC men are playing for the Region 16 regular season title and the one seed in the postseason tournament. The Cardinals are ranked sixth and enter the game at 28-1. MAC blasted the Roadrunners at home 85-57, but State Fair’s Damaria Franklin has torched Region 16 averaging 27 points in those games. MAC though held him to nine. State Fair comes into the game at 15-12.
On the women’s side the Lady Cardinal already own two victories over State Fair. 83-57 and 92-58. Both teams are locked into their postseason seeds, MAC at the three and State Fair at the six. In fact, MAC will host State Fair on Tuesday in the first round of the Region 16 tournament. Assistant coach Briley Palmer doesn’t want this to be a trap game…
