Loughary won a school record 41 games in 1981.
Loughary lettered in both baseball and basketball at Murray State University in Murray, KY., where he was inducted into the Hall of Fame for both sports. The St. Louis Cardinals signed him to play in their Class D team when he graduated in 1950.
