MAC Looks for Second Sweep of State Fair

(Park Hills) One Mineral Area College basketball team will try to continue a streak tonight and the other will try to snap one. The MAC men are ranked 4th in the country and are unbeaten at 12-0. The Cardinals welcome the State Fair Roadrunners to the Bob Sechrest Fieldhouse Wednesday for a Region 16 doubleheader on KREI.
The MAC men beat State Fair 69-54 on the road earlier this year and come off a tough road win at Moberly on Monday. The Cardinals are leading with their defense. They are 11th in the country in blocked shots at nearly six per game and 17th in steals at almost 11. Coach Luke Strege says his guys are giving their bodies up to stop the opponent….

The Roadrunners have lost four in a row and are 5-7 on the season.

The MAC women have lost three in a row and stand 4-8 on the season. The last win for the MAC women came at State Fair on February 20th, where they won 83-60. Coach Briley Palmer says her team has to get better on the boards…
