MAC Men Fall to Moberly, 85-74

The third ranked Mineral Area College men lost their first game of the season, 85-74 on the road at Moberly. The Cardinals led early 19-12, before Moberly took an eight point lead with a 29-14 push. Kevin Legardy gave MAC some momentum heading into the locker room…..

The Greyhounds surged back to start the second half, outscoring MAC 22-7 over the first eight and a half minutes. That run put Moberly up 19 and ended the threat for a MAC comeback. The Cardinals did close to within nine and had a three pointer rattle out that would’ve made it six. Malevy Leons led the Cardinals with 18 points and Legardy scored 16. Moberly’s Eddie Creal led all scorers with 21.

MAC falls to 19-1 and 2-1 Region 16. 18-4 Moberly has won eight in a row and 26 in a row in regular season Region 16 play. Next up for MAC is a home game against Lincoln Land on Monday. We’ll have it on KREI.
