MAC Men vs State Fair III – Region 16 Tourney Opener

(Park Hills) The Mineral Area College men’s basketball team battled for 40 hard minutes on Saturday to beat a team that they will play all over again Tuesday night. With their 80-74 victory over State Fair in the regular season finale the Cardinals earned the home game in the four versus five seed Region 16 opening round game in Park Hills. MAC ended the regular season at 22-8 and 3-5 in Region 16 play. State Fair is 12-15 and 2-6. We’ll have the call on AM 800 KREI starting with the Fliegs Equipment Pregame Show at 6:45. There is no admission charge to get into the game. The winner of this one plays top seed Moberly on Thursday in Jefferson City. The Mineral Area College women earned the number two seed in the tournament and they will play the winner of Jefferson College and Moberly in the semis on Friday.
