MAC Plays First Game on New Softball Field

(PARK HILLS) The Mineral Area College softball team played its first game on their new field Tuesday afternoon. Previously, MAC would play their softball games off-campus at Farmington, the Park Hills Sports Complex and sometimes in Fredericktown. MAC Athletic Director Jim Gerwitz says having both the baseball and softball fields on campus is exciting.

MAC President Dr. Joe Gilgour says having the new softball field will be good for the program.

The MAC Lady Cardinals debuted their new field with a windy doubleheader against Shawnee. The Lady Cardinals were defeated in both games, the scores being 10-1 and 12-4 respectively.
