MAC Shootout Saturday at the Bob
Mineral Area College will host its third annual summer shootout this Saturday at the Bob Sechrest Fieldhouse with an even mix of listening area teams and teams from the St. Louis area. Eight boys squads will play three game apiece in a bracket style tournament. They’ll play for the championship all the way to eighth place. MAC mens coach Luke Strege says you are sure to see some future college players and maybe some future Cardinals…
The first round looks like this:
10am Lift for Life vs Farmington
10:50am St. Mary’s vs Lesterville
11:40am South Iron vs Carnahan
12:30pm Poplar Bluff vs Metro East
Coach Strege says he’s really looking forward to seeing the small schools compete with the larger ones…
The first round and right side of the bracket will all be played at Mineral Area College. The left side of the bracket will be played at North County High School. Five dollars gets you in for the full day of basketball.
