MAC Splits with Three Rivers

The Mineral Area College basketball team split with Three Rivers on the road at Poplar Bluff. The 3rd ranked men won 71-60 and the women lost 70-44.

Up until the 11:00 mark of the second half the largest lead by each side was six points. Keonte Jones sparked a run that gave MAC a double digit lead….

Jones finished with 22 points and six blocks. Malevy Leons contributed 19.

MAC improves to 15-0 and 6-0 in Region 16 play. Three Rivers falls to 8-8, 2-6 in Region 16.

The Cardinal women stayed with in 10 points of the 12th ranked and undefeated Raiders in the first half despite committing 17 turnovers. Three Rivers ran away in the second half, build the lead to 19 by the end of the third quarter. Quincy Erickson was a bright spot scoring 19…
