MAC Volleyball Takes East Central Classic Title

(UNION, Mo.) – The tenth-ranked Mineral Area College volleyball team is off to a 4-0 start to the season after taking the championship at the East Central Classic. MAC clinched the title with two straight-set victories Saturday over Northeast Oklahoma and John A. Logan. Cardinals coach Tim Copeland said the wins Saturday were a little tougher than Friday.
The set scores for MAC’s first win against Northeast Oklahoma were 25-22, 25-16 and 25-14, while the scores for the second win against John A. Logan were 25-22, 25-10 and 27-25. MAC’s next game will be at home against St. Louis CC on Wednesday, Sept. 4 with coverage on AM-800 KREI.
