MAC Wins Region Cross on Men’s and Women’s Side

(Park Hills) Congratulations to the Mineral Area College Men’s and Women’s Cross Country teams for winning their second straight Region 16 team championships. The Region Meet was held on the Mineral Area College campus on Friday, with runners from St. Charles Community College also competing. The defending national champions had both individual champions, with Hailey Debert winning the women’s 5K race, and Donovan Denslow placing first in the men’s 8k. Three other MAC runners earned All Region awards as Nani Brewington placed second overall in the women’s race while Wyatt Elliott finished as the runner up and Kyle Vinyard 3r in the men’s race. The next and final competition of the season for the Cardinals will be the National Meet in Fort Dodge, Iowa on Saturday, November 14th.
