(SEDALIA, Mo.) – The Mineral Area college women made it a 2-0 weekend at the State Fair Regional Classic by coming from behind to defeat the Moberly Greyhounds 64-62 this (Saturday) afternoon on KREI. MAC led by seven at half, but Moberly pulled ahead in the fourth by as many as seven points. The Cardinals mounted the comeback with some timely shot from Keanna Williams and Ruby Benn. After taking a two point lead, MAC needed one more stop to seal the win.

MAC assistant coach Briley Palmer said the defense was strong all weekend.

MAC is now 6-1 after wins over Moberly and 20th-ranked Three Rivers over the weekend. Next up is a trip to Iowa next Friday and Saturday where they will face Kirkwood and Northeastern Nebraska at the Iowa Western Classic.
