The Mineral Area College women topped Jeff Co 74-58 at Three Rivers College to improve to 7-3 on the season.

The Cardinals scored the first 11 points of the game and never trailed.

The Vikings made several runs at the Cardinals and chopped a 16 point deficit in half in the third quarter behind 14 points in the frame by Tyra Brown.

However, MAC responded with the next eight points and was never threatened again.

Masyn McWillaims and Natalia Lalic pumped in back to back threes in the run.

In her first game back from injury McWilliams led all scorers with 23 points and went 8 for 10 from the field.
Brown came into the game as the 8th leading scorer in the country and was only two points off her season average with 20.
MAC assistant coach Briley Palmer says the game provides a good teaching point for the defense.

MAC plays State Fair Saturday at 1:00. Coach Palmer compares the Roadrunners to the Vikings.

MAC will play Crowder Sunday at 1:00.
We’ll have both games on AM 800 KREI.
Jefferson falls to 6-6 and will face Three Rivers Saturday and Moberly on Sunday with all games back in Poplar Bluff.
