(Poplar Bluff, MO)  The Mineral Area College women’s basketball team improved to 2-0 by taking the second of their games at the Three Rivers Shootout, 79-55 over Olney Central. MAC ripped the game open with a 19-1 run in the second quarter. Natalia Lalic heated up with two of her three threes in the run.

 

 

Lalic scored 18 to lead the Cardinals in the win. Rione (ree-on) Papa played tough in the paint with 16 points, 15 rebounds and four assists. Masyn McWilliams also scored 16 after going for 22 in the opener. The Cardinal defense held the Lady Knights to 22% shooting in the game. Assistant coach Briley Palmer says there’s still work to be done.
