MAC Women’s Hoops Starts Season Saturday

(Park Hills) The Mineral Area College women’s basketball team begins its season on Saturday at the Three Rivers shootout in Poplar Bluff. The Cardinals come off a 21-8 year and return three of their starters from last year and another one from two years ago. Point guard Keanna Williams, wings Masyn McWilliams and Natalia Lalic come back from last year and forward Tyeshia Mitchell comes back from a medical reshirt season. After losing All-America center Holly Forbes, coach Gary Koch says they still aren’t sure what they are going to get in the paint…

MAC plays Southeastern Illinois at 1:00 Saturday and Olney Central at 1:00 Sunday. We’ll have both games on AM 800 KREI with a 12:45 Fliegs Equipment Pregame Show.
