MAC’s Stuart Named an All American

(Park Hills) Mineral Area College freshman basketball player Angelo Stuart has earned All American Honors in being named to the second team by the NJCAA. We caught up with Angelo right after he found out…

Just as he conducted himself throughout the season, Stuart accepted the accolade with his trademark humility…

Stuart led the Cardinals in scoring at 17.8 points per game. He shot 55% from the field, 40% from three point range and 80.4% at the free throw line. Coach Luke Strege says Stuart had the ability to dominate a game without anyone realizing it…

We asked Stuart what his favorite game was this year…

Stuart scored 27 points in that game. He shot 4/5 from outside the arc and 11/12 from the free throw line.
Shortly after the season ended for MAC the COVID-19 pandemic sent all college students home. We asked Angelo how he is getting along in Pennsylvania..

Coach Strege says Stuart is an outstanding player, but he’s also an All American kid…

Stuart gives credit to his parents…

Stuart was a full qualifer this year at MAC which affords him the opportunity to go to a four year school immediately. With the coronavirus shutting everything down, including recruiting, he’s not sure yet if he’ll be back to MAC or move on…

Stuart was also named the Region 16 Player of the Year.
