Man Arrested on Child Porn Charges in St. Francois County

(Farmington) The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control announces the arrest of a St. Francois Coounty man.
23-year-old Kaleb L. Curtis of Farmington was taken into custody on Thursday for three counts of possession of child pornography.
The arrest comes after an investigation by the Division of Drug and Crime Control’s Digital Forensics Investigative Unit.
According to a news release from the highway patrol, in August of 2022, investigators received a cyber tip that the user of a social media account had uploaded a video identified as child pornography.
Investigators worked to identify the person responsible by executing multiple search warrants.
Investigators ultimately determined the I.P. address and after further investigation, they interviewed Curtis.
The Missouri Digital Forensics Center performed a forensic examination of a cell phone and desktop computer owned by Curtis.
On Thursday, investigators located several images of child porn on Curtis’ phone.
Curtis was charged by the St. Francois County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for three counts of possession of child porn.
A warrant was also issued for his arrest.
Curtis turned himself in to the St. Francois County sheriff on Thursday and he has posted a $50,000 bond.
