(PARK HILLS, Mo.) – The end of Gage Manion’s high school football career could not have gone much better in 2019, as the senior earned a selection to the Regional Radio Dream Team in his final campaign.
Perhaps the best word to describe Manion is ‘versatile,’ as he was the conference’s Offensive MVP in 2018, and the Defensive MVP this year.
For this year specifically, Manion moved from the secondary into the middle linebacker role.
We asked Manion if he takes pride in being able to do it all.
Perhaps the biggest moment of the season for the running back and linebacker however came on a passing play in the district semis against Ste. Genevieve.
Facing 4th and 16 and the end of their season, Manion threw for a touchdown on a trick play.
Even though Manion’s career as a Central Rebel came to an end that night, he has plenty of people to thank for the 4-year experience.
Along with over 100 tackles in 2019, Manion also netted 16 total touchdowns in his final season en route to the Dream Team selection.
