(PARK HILLS, Mo.) – For the second time in as many years, Gage Manion of the Central Rebels has earned honors as the Parkland Health Mart Pharmacy “Play It Forward” Athlete of the Week. The senior ran for 131 yards and four touchdowns while also leading his team in tackles against the Windsor Owls last Friday. Manion said it was odd at first since their game with Windsor resulted from some emergency scheduling.

Manion said he feels good about the rushing attack that he is part of this season.

When he won the award last year, Manion sent a $25 donation from Parkland Health Mart Pharmacy to the Carlei Huff Foundation, which was formed in support of children with cancer and in honor of the late Carlei Huff. Manion said he will again send a donation there after winning the award a second time.

The Rebels are back in action this Friday when they visit the Ste. Genevieve Dragons in a game that can be heard on J-98.
