Many School Districts Returning Back to School this Week

(Jefferson County) Most to if not all Jefferson County public schools will be returning to class on Monday or sometime this week for the opening of the 2021-22 school year.
Festus Police Chief Tim Lewis says expect an increase in traffic as the Festus School District starts the school year on Monday.
Crystal City Police Chief Chad Helms says Crystal City students return back to school on Tuesday.
Corporal Juston Wheetley with the Missouri State Highway Patrol echoes the message.
In 2020, no one was killed in traffic crashes involving school buses; however, 152 people were injured.
In Missouri last year, 453 traffic crashes involved school buses.
