The South Iron Lady Panthers won the Class 1 third place crown after downing the Prairie Home Panthers 61-54. South Iron came out turning their feisty defense into offense, by scoring in transition to take a strong early lead.

Prairie Home in the third quarter launched a comeback and tied the game up multiple times in the fourth, but South Iron had one last run in them to hammer the final nail into the coffin.

Ashley Mickan lead all scorers with 26 points and Jada Brooks had a double double with 12 points and 10 rebounds, 7 of which came on the offensive glass. It was a big moment for lone senior Allie Wilfong and head coach Lawrence Graves had some high praise for her.

South Iron ends their season with a win and a third place finish in Class 1 as well as a record of 24-6.
