MAR 13, 2017 VIBURNUM TRACK AND FIELD ATHLETES SIGN TO NAIA SCHOOL (Audio)

(myMOinfoSports) The Viburnum Blue Jays are celebrating track and field athletes and brothers Noah and Damian Payne who have signed their letter of intent to run at Columbia College in the Fall of 2017.

Damian’s events are the two-hundred and four-hundred meter races with all-state finishes in each the past two seasons.
His sister Naomi Payne attending Columbia made the decision easy for Damian.

Damian says the grind of track and field coach Rocky Sandlin’s training has a lot to do with his success.

Damian’s brother Noah participates in the 800 meter and one mile races for the Blue Jays and hopes to have a strong senior season.

Being familiar with some of the current track and field athletes at Columbia made it easy for Noah to ultimately join.

Noah will major in sports management at Columbia. The Payne brothers’ senior season begins March 21st at St. Clair.

Full interview with both Payne’s here.
