MAR 3, 2017 CLASS 1 QUARTERFINALS PITS SOUTH IRON LADY PANTHERS VS SCOTT COUNTY CENTRAL (Audio)

(myMOinfoSports) Coverage of the Class 1 state quarterfinal Saturday on J-98 features the 22-5 South Iron Panthers against 16-11 Scott County Central.

The Panthers enter the fray on a ten game winning streak which includes knocking off District 4 champ Couch, 74-60, in the sectional round. Head Coach Lawrence Graves thinks Scott County is a mirror image of his team.

Also like South Iron, the Lady Braves are a very young team without a single senior on the roster. Head Coach Matt Limbaugh hopes the team’s youth doesn’t hamper their ability to get the victory.

The winner between South Iron and Scott County Central will move onto the state semifinals against either Mercer or Jefferson. Pregame will begin Saturday afternoon at 2:30 on J-98 from Van Buren high school with Matt Greenwood.
