(HILLSBORO) 35 goals and 13 assists were plenty enough to convince area coaches to vote Hillsboro’s senior midfielder Mark Moore as the 2019 Dream Team Soccer Player of the Year. Moore feels absolutely great about it.

While in the process of scoring 35 times and assisting on 13 others this year, Moore set the school record for career goals with 73 and career assists with 39. Breaking the previous record of 50 goals in a win against Battle on a Saturday was just one of many moments that Moore will remember forever.

Moore adds that making 1st-team All-State and scoring 35 goals in a season are things he’s always wanted to accomplish. As far as playing college soccer is concerned.

Mark Moore helped lead the Hillsboro Hawks to their first-ever state quarterfinal appearance and actually scored the only goal for the Hawks in that match. This was Mark’s first and only soccer Dream Team Selection.
