Marquand Man Injured In Jefferson County Accident

(Marquand) A man from Marquand was seriously injured Monday afternoon in a traffic accident on Highway 21 in Jefferson County.

William Crass was a passenger in a Jeep Liberty that ran off the road and hit a Backhoe that was standing on the side of the road.

Crass was taken to Mercy Hospital South with serious injuries.

The driver of the jeep, Amanda Irle of Pevely, sustained moderate injuries.

Mark Vessell, the operate of the backhoe, suffered minor injuries.

They were also taken to Mercy Hospital South.
