Martez Burse & Kolton Dinkins Named Co-Applebee’s Of Farmington Athletes Of The Week
(Annapolis) For their efforts in helping South Iron win its third consecutive Class 1 state championship, seniors Martez Burse and Kolton Dinkins have been named co-Applebee’s of Farmington Athletes of the Week. During two games at the Show-Me Showdown, Burse averaged 22 points and 11.5 rebounds while playing 66 of a possible 68 minutes. Dinkins only scored 7 points a game going into the final weekend, then he scored 33 total points and went 6-of-11 from beyond the arc in the two games.

South Iron won the championship game 56-47 over St. Elizabeth. Burse scored six points in overtime and knocked down all four of his free throws, giving him 1002 career points. He says playing in so many close games this year helped the team stay calm despite never leading the game until the overtime period…
