Maybe Another Pay Raise For State Workers

(Jefferson City) Missouri state employees could be seeing another significant pay increase soon.

Governor Mike Parson says the last state worker pay raise might have been the largest in Missouri history, about seven-and-a-half percent.

The state has more than 50-thousand employees but it also has thousands of job openings.

Officials say Missouri has one of the lowest-paying state workforces in the country.
