McGirl Says Last Two Weeks of Legislative Session to be Fast and Furious

(Jefferson City) Some legislators at the state capitol in Jefferson City call these final two weeks of the session “The Fast and Furious Weeks”.

That’s because all lawmakers are trying to find a way to get their individual bills passed into law.

State Representative Mike McGirl of Potosi knows this play all too well.

However, that can easily backfire.

Besides all the bills, this week’s main priority is getting a new state budget agreed upon by both chambers and then sent to the governor. T

he deadline to get that done is this Friday.

The following Friday will be the last day of this year’s regular Missouri legislative session.
