(FESTUS) Chris Miller is the new St. Pius boys basketball coach after spending 2013 to 2018 coaching Grandview boy’s basketball.

Coach Miller was introduced to the St. Pius community on May 23rd at a press conference next to the football stadium. Miller says that being introduced in that manner was a neat opportunity he’s never had before.

Before Grandview and now St. Pius, Miller has coached in several capacities at Couch, Bell City, Southern Reynolds and Zalma high schools. Along the way, he has had one particular mentor that has made a great impact on him.

Coach Miller talks about what he believes a successful program looks like.

The St. Pius boys basketball team won 20 games last season and reached the Class 3 District 3 championship game under Eric Lawrence. Miller will have the opportunity to coach 8 seniors next season, including guys like Riley Naeger, Dre Townsend, Kayden Cook, Eli Boyer and Josh Ruble.
