Mercy Hospital Jefferson Keeps Straight A Status from Leapfrog Group

(Festus/Crystal City) Mercy Hospital Jefferson is one of ten Mercy hospitals across four states to earn and maintain Straight A status from the Leapfrog Group’s spring 2020 Hospital Safety Grade.
John Winkelman is the Community Relations Manager at Mercy Jefferson. He says this is the 7th consecutive time the hospital has received an A rating.
Winkelman mentions it’s not a surprise on why Mercy Jefferson continues to be rated the highest in patient safety in the country.
The 10 Mercy Hospitals are among 858 in the country that received A grades this spring.
The ratings are issued twice annually in the spring and in the fall.
Only 183 hospitals in the nation have held a Straight A distinction for 7 consecutive times or longer.
