(St. Louis Region) With Missouri’s first case of novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) sparking concern across the region and the need for more widely available testing resources, Mercy Hospital will openĀ  a drive-through COVID-19 test collection site on Saturday morning.

The site is on the campus of Mercy Virtual Care Center which is located on South Outer Forty Road in Chesterfield.

John Winkelman is the Community Relations Manager at Mercy Hospital Jefferson. He says in order for people to get tested for the Coronavirus, they must first meet the criteria and displace certain symptoms.

Winkelman mentions the drive-through testing site will prevent unnecessary exposure to patients and caregivers in hospitals and clinics.

To get tested, people must first call Mercy’s Clinical support line at 314-251-0500 to be screened, and if appropriate, proceed to the test collection site.

Mercy’s COVID-19 test collection site will open on Saturday morning and remain open daily from 8 am until 5 pm until further notice.
