Metro Hallmark in Festus closing

(Festus) A Festus Main Street business that has been in operation for 40 years is closing its doors. Metro Hallmark will be shutting it’s doors for good next month and are currently having a “going out business” sale. Owner Chris Hagan says it’s certainly bittersweet.
Hagan says it was time, with so many things changing in terms of how people shop these days.
Hagan sold the office supply end of the business to Pedro’s Planet a few years ago. The location also used to be a JC Penny’s catelog store, but that partnership ended a several years ago. Metro Hallmark will lock the doors for good in October.
