Mineral Area College To Hold Grand Opening For Workforce Innovation And Education Center During First Week Of Classes

(Park Hills) The fall semester at Mineral Area College begins later this month. Racheal Starbird is the Student Engagement Coordinator. She joined the morning show on AM-800 KREI to talk about her excitement for students to get back to campus.

The college in Park Hills broke ground on the Workforce Innovation and Education Center in November of 2021. Starbird says the grand opening for the new tech building will be Thursday morning, August 24th at 11 o’clock.

Starbird says that all of the career in technical education programs will be moving into the 80,500 square foot building.

Starbird is in charge of giving campus tours. She says the Workforce Innovation and Education Center has been a big draw for potential students.

The first day of classes for students at Mineral Area College is Monday, August 21st.
