Mineral Point Woman Injured in Auto Accident in Washington County

(Potosi, Mo.) A woman from Mineral Point was taken to Washington County Memorial Hospital in Potosi after being involved in a one-vehicle accident Friday morning in Washington County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the accident took place on Old Highway 8, east of Potosi Lake Road, when a Pontiac Bonneville driven by 29-year-old Brittany Henson of Mineral Point was driving in the wrong lane of travel.
She then had to swerve to avoid an oncoming vehicle which caused the Bonneville to lose control.
Henson then overcorrected and traveled off the left side of the roadway before striking several trees.
Henson sustained moderate injuries in the crash.
