(Cincinnati, Ohio) The Missouri Tigers basketball team suffered their first loss of the 2019 season tonight with a 63-58 overtime loss on the road to #21 Xavier.

Dru Smith put up a double-double and led the Tigers in scoring with 22 points on 6-16 shooting to go along with 10 rebounds and 4 assists.

Mizzou struggled with execution throughout the night as they shot 33.3% from the field as a team, 24% on three-pointer attempts, and committed 20 turnovers.

Tigers head coach Cuonzo Martin says there were some positives to take away in a hard-fought loss.

Missouri is now 2-1 on the year and will be off until Monday night when they host Wofford. Coverage begins at 6:30 on AM 800 KREI and AM 1400 KJFF.
