Missouri Being Sued

(Cole County) A company that has provided medical care to inmates in Missouri prisons for decades is suing the State.

Corizon filed a lawsuit to stop the State from awarding the contract to a new vendor.

The company has asked a Cole County judge to put the new contract on hold, arguing the process used by Governor Parson’s administration is flawed.

Corizon lost out to Virginia-based Centurion Health, which was chosen in May over several other firms for the State’s lucrative prison health care contract.
