Missouri Company Helping with COVID-19 Vaccine

(Chesterfield Mo) Pfizer, a Missouri based company, is beginning to help develop a vaccine they hope will stop the spread of COVID-19.

Christine Smith, vice president of Pfizer, joined Governor Parson on his briefing today to talk about it.

Smith elaborates on what exactly is going on.

An antigen is a foreign substance or toxin that forces the immune system to react and produce a solution such as antibodies.

Smith explains further

There are four different strands of the MRNA being tested.

Pfizer and their partner have made this a massive priority and hope one of their versions will be successful.
