(Farmington) Even though the state was opened up by Governor Parson today, that does not mean Covid-19 has disappeared.

In fact, confirmed cases of the virus in Missouri have increased by 6.5 percent during the last week.

Annette Schnabel is the president of Parkland Health Center in Farmington and Bonne Terre.

She says they still have restrictions in place at their hospitals.

Schnabel says they are still limiting hospital visitors.

And the hospital president had this to add.

St. Francois County has reported 51 confirmed cases with two deaths.

Other deaths locally by county show 19 have died from the coronavirus in Jefferson County, 18 in Franklin County, 3 deaths in Cape Girardeau County and one death each in Ste. Genevieve and Washington counties.
