(Jefferson County) The Missouri State Highway Patrol has stepped in to help out law enforcement agencies across the St. Louis region cover peaceful and non-peaceful protests over the death of George Floyd.

Corporal Juston Wheetley with the Missouri State Highway Patrol has more.

We asked Corporal Wheetley if any state troopers have been injured during the protests in St. Louis.

Former Minneapolis Police Officer, Derek Chauvin, who is accused of pressing his knee into Floyd’s neck for about 8 minutes, has been charged with Murder in the 2nd Degree, and 2nd Degree Manslaughter in Floyd’s death.

In addition, the three other officers that were on scene at the time of Floyd’s death have been charged with aiding and abetting second-degree murder and aiding and abetting second-degree manslaughter.
