Missouri State Reps Office is Now Broom Closet

(Jefferson City) State Representative Tricia Derges has a new office in the State Capitol that used to be a broom closet.

Derges, from Nixa, was kicked out of the Republican Caucus shortly after a federal grand jury indicted her this month for allegedly selling fake stem cell treatments at medical clinics she operates.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports House Speaker Rob Vescovo asked Derges to resign last week but in an email to the speaker, she said her “innocence will prevail” and that she won’t step down.

Derges is also accused of illegally prescribing prescription drugs to clients and lying to federal agents.
