Missouri Test Scores Decline

(Jefferson City) State Education Commission Margie Vandeven says learning by Missouri students has been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic in many ways.

Preliminary results of standardized tests show student performance declined last for public school students in the last academic year.

Information just released shows 45 percent of students met grade level in English Language Arts, 35 percent in Mathematics, and 37 percent in Science.

The biggest drop was almost 10 percent in Algebra One.
